Dome Lighting. Custom designed by Ingo Maurer (1932-2019) American/German Industrial artiste who specialized in the design of lamp and light installations. Nicknamed “poet of light.” Tailored and installed to compliment the pool table for the famed, former Library Bar at NYC Hudson Hotel in 2000.

Coined by “The NEW YORK TIMES” columnist Herbert Muschamp, October 5, 2000, upon the redesigned hotel opening “The centerpiece of this square, in effect its statue or fountain, is a long wooden desk carved with mock-Bavarian motif, and an enormous Baccarat chandelier with hologram candles designed by Ingo Maurer.”
