Droog’s collaboration with Jurgen Bey started in the 1990’s which created the crossing between nature and culture. Together using everyday materials combined with a down-to-earth mentality and dry humor. Literally “dry”; Droog in Dutch means dry.
Jürgen Bey is one of the most renowned Dutch designers. 2005 Prins Bernard Cultuurfonds Award, 2005 Harrie Tillie Award from Stedelijk Museum, Roermond, 2003 Interior Award. Taking simple objects and transforming them into artistic furniture pieces of absurdity.
Droog is a conceptual Dutch design company founded in 1993 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, internationally renowned label and one of the most famous exponents of Dutch design. Their group of young Dutch designers presented originally at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 1990’s.
